Coconut Secret Nectar & Aminos Review

Leslie’s Organics Coconut Secret has a variety of coconut-based products.

The company has a sustainable source of fair-traded, non-GMO, vegan, kosher and gluten-free ingredients to make their amazing products!

Coconut Secret was kind enough to send me samples of Coconut Nectar and Coconut Aminos. It was very nice to be able to make some of my favorite recipes using these coconut-based alternatives.

A healthy raw, fermented soy-sauce made with no soy. A raw vegan sweet syrup made from trees. These wonderful ingredients have been made possible from coconut tree sap.

The nutrient-rich coconut sap comes right out of the tree naturally abundant in 17 Amino Acids (the building blocks of protein), broad-spectrum B Vitamins (especially rich in Inositol, known for its effectiveness on depression, high cholesterol, inflammation, and diabetes), Vitamin C, Minerals (high in Potassium, essential for electrolyte balance, regulating high blood pressure, and sugar metabolism), as well as FOS (a prebiotic that promotes digestive health).

From Coconut Secret

Some think that using the coconut tree sap is bad for the trees, however this is a sustainable process. The trees used for making these products continue to produce sap for up to 20 years. So, by the time these trees no longer produce sap, many coconut trees have been grown to produce the coconut fruit as well as others to be used for sap extraction.

I absolutely loved both of these products! The flavor of the coconut aminos is not too salty and has a bit of coconut flavor, but not overpowering.

The coconut nectar is thick, very sticky and sweet. It blends well with things I like to make sweet.

The vitamins and minerals in the coconut products not only make them an additive, but a nutritional supplement.

Here are a few recipes I have used the Coconut Secret products in:

Leslie’s Organic Coconut Secret Brand also offers a variety of cold Coconut Cream desserts, Chocolate Covered Coconut Bars, Chocolate Crunch Bars, Coconut Crystals, Coconut Flour, Coconut Vinegar along with the Coconut Nectar & Coconut Aminos.

I am excited to make more dishes with these products in the future. Any recipe with soy sauce, honey or agave nectar can be replaced by Coconut Aminos and Coconut Nectar.

Raw, vegan coconut ice cream sounds amazing, too! 😉
